Business Unit Overview

As the US retail arm of BlackRock, US Wealth Advisory (“USWA”) is responsible for building and maintaining relationships with wealth management firms and platforms, distributing BlackRock’s alpha-seeking and iShares investment capabilities, and encouraging the adoption of BlackRock’s portfolio construction and digital wealth technologies by financial advisors.USWA COO Team is responsible for leading a range of strategic initiatives and for managing the internal planning for BlackRock’s US retail business. Our group, reporting to the Head of US Retail, forms the “connective tissue” of BlackRock’s US retail business, coordinating functional areas within the business and interactions with the broader BlackRock organization, including business analytics and product

Job Purpose/Background

The analyst will work as part Business Insights and Reporting team on COO group responsible for various internal and external reporting projects spanning product, sales, strategy, and business analytics. We are seeking a high-energy, self-motivated individual excited to work in a fluid, fast-paced environment that will be the future growth engine for the world’s largest asset manager. Given the broad range of projects and initiatives, relatively small group size, and collegial business culture, the analyst will gain significant exposure across the business.This role presents an excellent opportunity to get exposure to different areas of the business and gain a wealth of knowledge about BlackRock, its position in the market and the products we manage.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support various sales and management teams by producing recurring sales/activities reports with value-add insights
  • Ad-hoc business analyses to support strategic initiatives and advisor opportunities
  • Work closely with our partners on CRM data
  • Ensure timely and accurate data/analysis delivery
  • Work on numerous data management projects
  • Support dynamic reporting using BI tools like Tableau/PowerBI
  • Work closely on our CRM system to support client database
  • Support sales lead generation process
  • Explore possible automation opportunities within function

Qualifications

  • Postgraduate – MBA (Finance) from reputable institution

Skills, Experience And Competencies

  • 2-4 years related experience in the investment management business
  • Strong self-motivation and ability to lead work streams relatively independently
  • Strong familiarity with Microsoft excel and access
  • Understanding of SQL is a must
  • Knowledge of Python and VBA would be preferred
  • Understanding of Tableau/PowerBI is a plus
