About the Job Profile:

Swaniti Initiative works with multiple parliamentarians, state governments, and civil society organisations to implement projects in the areas of health, education, gender, water, sanitation, climate change, and livelihood.

The Associate is expected to provide technical assistance for the project including policy analysis, research support and data analysis, drawing insights from the data collected. The position offers a tremendous opportunity to engage directly with the policymakers, and implementation of the various schemes.

  • Location: A Parliamentary Constituency of Gujarat
  • Nature of Position: Project Implementation and Management   
  • Reporting To:  Lead – Parliamentary Engagement          
  • Remuneration: Commensurate with market standard and relevant experience
  • Engagement Type: Full time 
  • Joining date: Immediately

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Function in full coordination with the office of the Member of Parliament for constituency development
  • Coordinate with District Administration for project implementation and monitoring 
  • Provide research and data analysis support to the Hon’ble MP Office
  • Stay updated of the latest developments of the geography and policies
  • Preparing high quality and detailed research/ policy briefs/reports for various stakeholders
  • Writing project proposals and communication pieces
  • Preparing and proofreading documents/reports as required
  • Conducting field visit to collect data and get ground insights required for the project

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Masters in subjects like Developing Studies, Public Policy, Rural Development/Statistics, Law, Engineering or relevant fields
  • Candidates with work experience with elected representatives for developmental work will be prioritised
  • Proficiency in working with qualitative and quantitative data and data analysis tools

Skill and aptitude required: 

  • Critical thinking ability 
  • Quantitative and Qualitative Research Skills
  • Proficiency in presentation skills
  • Documentation skills
  • Basic understanding of Gujarati
