About the CM Fellowship Scheme

This Scheme seeks to engage Indian students having Graduation from reputed Universities and institutions who will be given access to various – Verticals/Divisions/Units within Government of Arunachal Pradesh and would be expected to supplement the process of analysis within Finance, Planning & Investment Department, through empirical collection and collation of in-house and other information.

This is a unique programme in the country which provides an institutional framework for undertaking research projects on governance and government programmes, ranging from an analysis of ground realities to accessing policy-framing challenges on issues of regulation and development.

Details of the Fellowship:

  • Name of the Scheme: The Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister’s Fellowship Scheme.
  • Purpose: It is designed to provide valuable experience to youth interested in social development sector and to cultivate young leaders, strengthen their understanding of the public administration and prepare them for greater leadership roles in future.
  • Objectives of the Scheme: The scheme has the following stated objectives:
  1. To allow young academic talents to be associated with the Department of Finance, Planning & Investment Department and to work for mutual benefit.
  2. It is an opportunity for young graduates/post graduates and professionals to work with the government.
  3. The “Fellows” shall have an opportunity to know about the Government functioning and Developmental Policy issues in Government of Arunachal Pradesh and contribute to the Policy formulation by generating policy inputs such as empirical analysis, brief reports, policy papers, etc.
  4. These young professionals will help identify problems in the design of programmes, schemes and implementation processes through rigorously structured research projects, so that necessary improvement can be made to the policy at implementation levels.
  5. It will help the Fellows in their career later. This program provides opportunities for professional growth and learning.

Eliqibility: 

The eligibility of the candidates must be

  • (a) Masters in any discipline with minimum 3 years of work experience/Graduation in any discipline with minimum 5 years of experience.
  • (b) At least 60% marks in both Under Graduation and Post Graduation
  • (c) Candidates with domain experience and from premier institutes like IITs/IIMs/ISB will be preferred

Fellowship Period:

  • The period of “Fellowship” shall be at least eleven months but not exceeding 2 years. Fellows not completing the requisite period and the assignments will not be issued any certificate.
  • Experience Certificate:A certificate regarding successful completion of Fellowship shall be issued by the Government of Arunachal Pradesh.

Remuneration

  • The Fellows will be paid lump sum fixed honorarium of Rs 70,000/- (Rupees Seventy Thousand) only per month.

Loqistics & Support:

  •  Fellows will be required to have their own laptops. Government of Arunachal Pradesh shall provide them working space, internet facility and other necessities as deemed fit by the Department of Finance, Planning & lnvestment.
