About the Hackathon

IRMA ISEED FOUNDATION in association with IIT – TiHAN has launched a hackathon that aims to solve the problems that exists in rural arena of India. It is the platform for all the ideators/innovators/entrepreneurs to present a solution that is tech enabled and can be instrumental in solving any of the given problem statement. 

This hackathon will support innovative ideas/startups with scalable social business
models by providing them with technology development, financial capacity
building and go-to-market support by two premier institutions of India.

20 applications will be shortlisted and invited for the demo day to [resent their idea/solution to the esteemed panel. The winners would be offered the winning prize amount of INR 50,000/- and the incubation support from ISEED and TiHAN in the form of Entrepreneurship in Residence.

Theme of the Hackathon

  • To mitigate weather and associated risks in agriculture by using tech enabled solutions

Problem Statements

The ambition of the program is to support and distinguish players operating in the following key fields of intervention:

  1. Weather Forecasting: To mitigate weather and associated risks in agriculture by using tech enabled solutions:
  2. Carbon Credit Management System: To address Carbon credit management along with tree cover recording via a reliable methodology in agriculture and agro forestry using automation navigation.
  3. Sustainable Water Management: To improve upon the current challenge of water management and developing a sustainable solution using automation aids.
  4. Reduce Man-Animal Conflict: To resolve the grave and existing man-animal conflict using autonomous technology in agriculture and forestry.
  5. Automated Harvesting and Post Harvesting Solutions: To develop tech enabled harvesting (Cutting, Sorting, Grading) and post harvesting solutions at farm/mandi level.
  6. Cattle Health Monitoring: To resolve a persistent problem of cattle health monitoring in remote geographies along with provision of medicinal services required for them which will improve their productivity and quality of life.
