Roles and Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Oversee analytics, data-systems and insight generation. Align with internal stakeholders/team members to ensure timely delivery of designated tasks
  • Generate insights on issues related to quality, composition, supply, and administration of medical oxygen and suggest corrective actions
  • Support development of plans to improve access to medical oxygen at national, state, and facility levels based on in-depth understanding of oxygen needs and landscape i.e. oxygen manufacturers, suppliers, users and intermediaries
  • Closely support officials in MoHFW and Department of Health, state governments in identifying and bridging gaps in oxygen supply chain. Also, engage with Division and District level health staff for accomplishment of project goals
  • Support refinement of pneumonia and oxygen strategy to improve oxygen access at public health facilities
  • Reconcile parallel data sources to facilitate monitoring, synthesis, and analysis of data to draw meaningful insights
  • Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders in public and private sectors
  • Support CHAI’s strategy for increased access by identifying areas with significant beneficiary and policy impact
  • Aid and support other parts of the Essential Medicines programs by working closely with the state, country, and global teams
  • Draw on CHAI’s global and local expertise in demand generation and supply-side engagement proactively and work in a collaborative manner with other teams
  • Conduct primary and secondary research to be able to strategize and support initiatives as required
  • Support capacity building of field team and public health personnel on required technical know how
  • Clean data collected by the field force to maintain data integrity while sharing reports with internal and external stakeholders
  • Support capacity building of key government functionaries on relevant competencies for sustained ownership and delivery
  • Ensure communication and alignment of activities across government and partner stakeholders’ efforts and across other CHAI programs to ensure coordination and successful execution
  • Draft compelling presentations and reports for internal and external stakeholders
  • Develop and maintain a dashboard for monitoring the overall performance of the project
  • Support the Monitoring and evaluation team (M&E)- internal and global on the planning, implementation and evaluation of midline/end line surveys
  • Work with CHAI’s technical teams and Program Lead(s) to develop and implement a coordinated support program
  • Should be willing to work from ministry office, travel on short notice within India and abroad as per work requirements
  • Undertake any other duties as assigned by the Program Lead or Country/State Director

Qualifications

  • Master’s/Bachelor’s degree in management, economics, engineering, computer science, statistics, operations research economics or allied areas
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in private or public sector enterprise; consulting, public health, analytics experience preferred
  • Excellent quantitative, problem solving, analytical and statistical analysis skills and experience of handling big datasets through use of software such as SQL, Oracle
  • Exposure to data visualisation tools such as TABLEAU/POWER BI, etc. will be an added advantage
  • Excellent knowledge of program implementation, trainings, monitoring and evaluation methods (qualitative and quantitative), including experience of developing trainings and monitoring and evaluation plans, tools, training materials, reports and summary forms
  • Ability to develop new and manage existing relationships with multiple stakeholders
  • Ability to work independently and effectively in high-pressure, fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Experience structuring and leading evidence-based decision-making processes
  • Excellent structured oral and written communication ability
