Applications are invited for Adhoc Faculty Position (Metallurgical and Materials Engineering) at NIT Rourkela for the year 2022. The last date of application is 5 June.

NIT Rourkela, an institute of National importance under Ministry of Education, Government of India invites applications from Indian nationals possessing excellent academic background along-with commitment to quality teaching and research for Adhoc Positions with the following requirements in the Department of Metallurgical & Materials Engineering possessing requisite educational qualification and other details as below.

Eligibility

  • Ph.D. (awarded/submitted) in Metallurgical and Materials Engineering or other relevant specialization from a reputed Institute/University with first-class in all preceding degrees.
  • Applicants must have B. Tech. and M. Tech in Metallurgical and Materials Engineering (or similar) with a minimum of 60% marks or 6.5 CGPA.

Period of Engagement

  • From July 2022 to December 2022 (Tentatively). This may be further extended based on the performance and requirements of the department.

Application

  • Prospective candidates should send their detailed CV along with an application/cover letter to the concerned Head of the Department 10 days’ prior to the interview date by email only. Depending upon the number of applications received, a scrutiny process may be conducted.
  • Please bring a set of self-attested photocopies of your academic credentials along with the original certificates and two passport size photos on the day of interview. For any further details, the candidates may contact the concerned Head of the Department. This position is purely temporary and the same may be terminated by giving a notice from either side.

Salary

  • Consolidated pay of Rs. 70,900/- per month (candidates with Ph. D degree) and Rs. 57,700/- per month (candidates without Ph. D degree).
