About the Organization:

Samagra is a mission-driven governance consulting firm. We co-work with the bureaucratic leadership across states and the Centre on long-term systemic transformation programmes cutting across domains.

Since 2012, when Samagra was founded, we have worked with the Government of India and 7 state governments on 15+ large scale governance transformation programs in sectors like education, agriculture, skills, employment, and public service delivery.

About the Role:

  • The essence of this role is to provide primarily backend support to Samagra’s program teams in achieving the program goals with quality.
  • You will be responsible for well-defined activities such as creation of good quality outputs (presentations, infographics, excels), collection and analysis of data, conduction of primary and secondary research with guidance from the team manager.
  • You will also be responsible for the management of communications (drafting messages & emails, responding to queries) with a focus on timeliness and end-user experience.
  • Additionally, the role may require you to manage processes such as field surveys, grievance redressal, and dashboard maintenance with a consistent benchmark in quality.
  • The role will require you to have a strong bias for action to be able to work effectively with the program teams and senior leadership at the firm.

Eligibility:

  • Bachelor’s degree in any discipline or Post Graduate degree in any discipline
  • Experience: No, prior experience in the development or consulting sectors are not mandatory.
  • We seek passionate, impact-minded individuals from across educational and professional backgrounds. We look for strong logical reasoning and problem solving abilities and good written and oral communication skills.

Locations:

  • Delhi is the base location for all programmes.
  • Through the week, teams are stationed at the client location with frequent travel to Delhi for review meetings and problem solving sessions.
  • The time spent on ground varies based on the engagement lifecycle. During the diagnosis phase, the team spends a lot of time on ground to gain a bottom up understanding of the problem statement and understand ground situation.
  • In more mature stages of the programme, teams work at the state office to align political and bureaucratic leadership, with field visits as and when required.

Skills Required:

  • Intermediate proficiency in MS-Excel / Google Sheets
    • Can create, update and maintain Excel trackers & dashboards
    • Can analyse & synthesise data in MS-Excel / Google Sheets
  • Basic proficiency in MS – PowerPoint
    • Can format slides / presentations
    • Can create presentations from scratch once outline is defined
  • Effective oral communication skills
    • Can articulate an idea / thought with clarity
    • Can conduct effective training & orientation sessions
  • Strong written communication skills
    • Can write well-structured emails and responses
    • Can draft crisp and effective WhatsApp messages
  • Knack for primary and secondary research
    • Can conduct online search and capture insights in crisp documents
    • Can capture key data from interviews / conversations with stakeholders
  • Ability to use basic technology tools
    • Can develop quick comfort with technology (mobile apps, dashboards)
    • Can execute basic tech processes (product training, testing, grievance redressal)
