About the Role

The Research Associate will play a key role in supporting senior leadership on research projects to meet our client needs across topics such as misinformation, climate, public health and international democracy. The right candidate will possess strong analytical skills to synthesise large volumes of data and information into actionable insights and recommendations. The candidate should be comfortable with quantitative and qualitative data analysis methods and have the ability to analyse and communicate complex information in concise and digestible formats. Excellent communication and presentation skills are essential.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Produce critical analysis from data to inform the direction of studies. Identify and develop differentiated data-driven insights.
  • Produce high-quality research case studies and analytical insights to support client and partner projects.
  • Explain and present complex quantitative and qualitative findings to internal and external stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
  • Project management and meeting project milestones. Liaising with relevant stakeholders to enhance the impact of research.
  • Identify new avenues of research that can support Ripple Research’s mission

Eligibility

  • Post-graduate degree in Economics, International Development or a related field with a strong component of qualitative data analysis and presentation
  • 2-3 years of relevant work experience in a research analyst or management consulting position. Expertise in public policy is a bonus!
  • Proven experience in designing and delivering high-quality analytical outputs
  • Analytical mindset and intellectual curiosity
  • Excellent communication skills to share research findings in written and visual formats
  • A proactive mindset with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced small business environment
  • Strong attention to detail, diligence and accuracy in terms of data analysis and writtenreporting
  • Fluent in English; proficiency in additional languages is welcome
  • Bonus: a passion for international development, public policy, creating social impact as wellas a comprehensive understanding of global political/socio-economic issues. This also includes an interest in behavioural psychology, with a strong grasp of knowing what makes people sit up and listen.
