About the Opportunity
United Way of Chennai works towards the betterment of environment, education, health, financial stability of every community in Tamil Nadu, Pondicherry, and Kerala.
Job scope and responsibilities:–
- Leading the conceptualization and implementation of impact assessment activities at United Way Chennai.
- Participating in proposal ideation and providing relevant and appropriate inputs for project design and impact evaluation for new projects.
- Accompanying the project team on project site visits to conduct needs assessments as well as a baseline, midline, and endline studies.
- Preparing varied instruments to systematically capture impact during project implementation and ensuring the data collected throughout is of high quality.
- Training team members, interns, and staff of partner NGOs in data collection and entry methodologies.
- Conducting quantitative and qualitative data analysis to assess the impact of projects.
- Documenting the results of impact evaluations and producing periodic reports for UWC and donor agencies.
- Partnering with the communications team to share impact findings with a wider audience
- Facilitate and serve as a project liaison for externally-managed evaluations.
Education Qualifications
- Masters in Economics, Sociology, or Social Work or related fields
Core experience
- 5-7 years of experience in impact assessment and/or using social science research methods.
- Experience in designing impact evaluation frameworks and using software for data analysis
Required Knowledge/Experience
- Willingness to travel to project sites.
- Ability to communicate fluently in English and Tamil.
- Good writing and presenting skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with different teams
