As with Carnegie’s centers in Beijing, Beirut, Brussels, Moscow, and Washington, Carnegie India is staffed and led by local experts who will collaborate extensively with colleagues around the world.
Carnegie India, the sixth international center of the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace, is seeking a Research Assistant and Program Coordinator for the Security Studies Program. This is a full-time position that will preferably start in March 2022.
About the Role
The research assistant and program coordinator will be responsible for researching specific issues relating to India’s foreign and security policy in support of ongoing projects. They will provide administrative and programmatic support to the Security Studies Program and coordinate events, including sending out invitations, scheduling, corresponding with speakers, and handling logistics. They will also liaison with other programs at Carnegie India and coordinate activities of the Security Studies Program with them. Further, the research assistant and program coordinator will assist the communications team in their outreach on matters related to foreign policy and security studies.

- Located in New Delhi, with a presence in Bengaluru, we offer a competitive salary commensurate with experience.
Eligibility
- Applicants must have a bachelor’s degree, or preferably, a master’s degree in international relations or a related field with one year of relevant work or internship experience.
- Applicants should have strong research and organizational skills, the ability to work on flexible deadlines, and the capacity to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
- They should also be able to work independently and as part of a team.
- The position requires excellent verbal and written command of English and proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
