Eklavya is a non-profit, non-government organisation that develops and field tests innovative educational programmes and trains resource people to implement these programmes. It functions through a network of education resource centres located in Madhya Pradesh.
For over two decades, Eklavya has sought to relate the content and pedagogy of education – both formal and non-formal – to social change and the all-round development of the learner.
About the Programme (Schools2030)
Schools 2030 is a new, globally informed, locally rooted 10-year longitudinal action research and learning improvement programme (from 2020-2030) working with 1000 pioneering pre-schools, primary schools, secondary schools and youth development partners across 10 countries. Schools2030 aims to find out ‘what works’ in equipping children and young people with the knowledge, skills, attitudes and values needed to successfully navigate uncertainty and become contributing members of society, and supporting such ‘positive deviance’ strategies to improve learning outcomes. Aga Khan Foundation (AKF) is implementing agency of the programme Schools2030 in 100 pre-schools, primary schools, secondary schools and youth spaces of Patna and Samastipur district in Bihar.

Role of Eklavya Foundation
Eklavya foundation is a learning partner for Schools2030 in India. Eklavya will be documenting the journey of Schools 2030 which involves process documentation of contextualization and co-creation of Human Centric design process. It will also involve the documentation of design thinking process and its learnings around how teachers and local communities respond to the process, how the AKF India team adapts and responds to varying circumstances, perspectives of other stakeholders etc. It will also involve in documentation of the solutions emerging from the design thinking process, and how the schools, SMC and local community are implementing these solutions. Under process documentation Eklavya will develop the qualitative reports and case studies to achieve the outcomes expected from the learning partner.
JD for Project Associate, Schools2030, Samastipur, Bihar:
- Continuous engagement and support to overall planning, coordination, review and reporting of all project activities in consultation with project in-charge.
- Process Documentation of the Schools 2030 programme in Bihar
- Preparing case studies, quarterly reports and school/community profiles with the team
- Documenting workshops/meetings with the teachers, stakeholders etc.
- Planning, scheduling and organising interviews with key stakeholders
- Prepare drafts or templates which can be used for documentation
- School visits
- Observe classroom interactions as and when required
- Plan capacity building of the team
- Provide onsite and off-site support to the project, as well as other Eklavya initiatives, as and when required.
Qualifications and other desirables:
- Graduates / post-graduates in relevant field (Education).
- Formal training and experience in the field of education will be preferred.
- Possess interest and abilities to work with students, teachers and community.
- Candidates should have proficiency in verbal and written communications (must possess good command over English & Hindi).
- Group facilitation, and team building.
- Hands-on experience of using MS-Office and especially spreadsheets/excel.
- Candidates must be prepared to travel within / outside the state as and when required.
Location:
- Samastipur, Bihar
Gross Salary:
- Project Associate: Rs. 28,000 – 32,000 per month (CTO includes health-accident insurance and other social securities)
- If the experience and skill-set is much higher than mentioned above, the salary can be further negotiated.
