Stairs is a New Delhi-headquartered not-for-profit, non-governmental, non- religious & non-political organisation which nurtures talented sportsmen at the bottom-of-the-pyramid so that they can use this ability as a mean of earning a living and pursue it as a career. Founded in 2000, it uses sports to help the disadvantaged break out of the vicious circle of poverty and promote inclusive social growth in their communities.
JOB OPENINGS
1. Coordinator
- Location: Delhi/NCR
- Report: Directly to the Chairman
- Experience: Relevant experience in youth empowering projects, PSU, Project making
- Job Description: Reporting to the Chairman, the candidate be responsible for:
- Identifying, networking, and forming relationships with other NGO’s, Corporates and organisations
- Identifying and coordinating with vendors
- Developing and implementing the staff development program, training schedule for volunteers, develop appropriate tools and methods to build organizational and strong teams.
- Preparing sets of necessary materials and submission of reports as per the situation, handling correspondence, drafting the reports and evaluations.
- Scheduling meetings, arranging conference calls, planning and organizing workshops.
- Creating new sets of administrative procedures if required as per the rules, regulations of the Government bodies and ensuring effective information flow.
- Maintaining files and records with effective filing systems
- BSupporting teams with various administrative tasks
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in business management and other related fields
- Atleast 5+ years of experience in office coordination. Prior experience of working in a PSU will be an advantage.
- Understanding of office policies
- Knowledge of international projects in India
- Knowledge of media operations
- Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills, as well as a high level of computer skills for documentation, emails and reporting.

2. Manager Fundraising
- Location: Delhi/NCR
- Department: Communications & Marketing
- Reports to: Communications and Marketing Director
- Job Description: Reporting to the Chairman, the candidate be responsible for:
- Research prospective donors
- Create a strong fundraising message that appeals to potential donors
- Conduct fundraising strategies for an organization
- Identify and contact potential donors
- Organize a campaign or event that will lead to soliciting donations
- Maintain records of donor information for future use
- Evaluate the success of previous fundraising events
- Train volunteers in fundraising procedures and practices
- Ensure that all legal reporting requirements are satisfied
Qualifications & Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a fundraising environment.
- Communication skills: writing dynamic funding proposals and inspiring people to commit to the cause in question.
- Interpersonal skills: you will be constantly interacting with people, persuading them of the value of your organisation.
- Research skills and attention to detail: sourcing information and statistics, researching trends, assessing costs.
- Creativity: idea generation is important as charities try to ‘piggy back’ on what the public has an interest in.

- Tertiary qualifications in relevant business related discipline
3. Manager Corporate Communications
- Location: Delhi/NCR
- Job Description: Reporting to the Chairman, the candidate be responsible for:
- Engagement & Outreach with Key stakeholders – Government departments, policy makers, and Media
- Research and development of press releases, articles, editorials, presentations and other written communication material.
- Development of communication materials for different platforms.
- Coordination with communications partners.
- Device and deploy a marketing plan for the organization.
- Plan & execute various events including internal and external meetings.
- Identify and participate in conferences and platforms that are strategic to organization’s mandate.
- Be the one-point contact for the organization with all key stakeholders.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Masters degree in Communications with 5-10 years of experience in corporate communications.
- Prior experience of working in an NGO/Not-for-profit
- Strategic and Operational expertise in cause-enabled marketing
- Excellent oral, written communications and Presentation skills
- Knowledge of media operations
- Understanding of social media marketing/ Online marketing/Digital marketing/Content Marketing.

4. Head, Skill Development Programme
- Location: Delhi/NCR
- Job Description: Reporting to the Chairman, the candidate be responsible for:
- Youth develop effective induction programmes.
- Devise individual skill learning plans.
- Monitor and review the progress of trainees through questionnaires and discussions.
- Ensure that statutory training requirements are met.
- Evaluate sports skill training and youth development programmes
- Amend and revise programmes as necessary, in order to adapt to changes occurring in the work environment.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Post-graduate degree in Education or Social Science discipline such as Economics, Sociology, Social Policy, or equivalent.
- Minimum 15 years of experience in Skill development role. Prior experience of working in sports and youth development will be an added advantage.
- Demonstrable leadership experience
- Networking capabilities in the Sports sector
- Experience of working in collaboration with Indian government (at the Centre/state level) in the implementation of sports programmes
