About the Program:
Punjab Youth Leaders Program (PYLP) is a two-year full time leadership development program which brings together individuals who have shown exceptional leadership potential. During these two years, the PYLP Young Leaders work towards bringing systemic improvements in the functioning of government schools in Punjab. In the process, they get an opportunity to grow by building their own leadership competencies. The aim of the program is to create and nurture a strong community of future leaders who will have the required understanding, competencies
and resources to initiate systemic change in Punjab. PYLP is the flagship initiative of Sanjhi Sikhiya, which is a collective of passionate individuals committed to transform Punjab into a land of Hope, Courage and Possibilities.
About the Role:
The District Lead (DL) is a critical leadership role at PYLP. Apart from leading PYLP’s young leaders towards the vision of high quality education at government schools, the DL also builds and manages key relationships with stakeholders at a district level. After successfully launching two districts, Fatehgarh Sahib and Patiala, PYLP is all set to expand to a new district with an increased number of young leaders. This is a very entrepreneurial role which will require the DL to wear multiple hats and manage government stakeholders, build relationships with local institutions, review operating plans and prepare impact reports.

Role and Responsibilities:

- As the District Lead, you would –
- Lead all aspects of operations in a specified district
- Be responsible for leading a group of 10-15 Young Leaders (YLs)
- Set up structures and processes for effective implementation of education programs on the ground
- Design and document operating plans and YL support system, and ensure accountability
- Build capacity in the team and also government/community stakeholders
- Lead the co-creation journey of education change programs with partners and Govt. officials
- Build strategic partnerships with various organizations, government agencies, academic institutions, and local funders

Experience Requirements:
- Understanding of learning process in a classroom and governance system of education in India
- Awareness of the initiatives towards education transformation in different parts of India
- Minimum 5 years of work experience in education and/or in a team lead role
- Knowledge of Punjabi (Read and Write) is preferred

Remuneration
- CTC: 6-7 Lakhs Per Annum
