Applications are invited for short-term (5 weeks) research internship/training under the SERB Accelerated Vigyan Programme – Vritika titled “Applied Multivariate Analysis.”
Objective
To train the students for using various dimensional reduction techniques like principal component analysis, factor analysis, cluster analysis, discriminant analysis using the programming language R. These techniques are highly applicable in various machine learning algorithms and data analytic tools.

Eligibility
- Candidates currently pursing M.Sc. in Mathematics/Statistics, M.Tech.(Data Science) or equivalent disciplines from University/Institution/College and having a strong orientation towards scientific research may apply.
Duration
- 5 weeks (June 20, 2022 to July 24, 2022).
Nature of Support
- The internship will be given for meeting daily necessary expenses such as stationery, consumables, accommodation, food, etc.
- The participating students will also be eligible for TA reimbursement for their journey to the host institute from their hometown/home institute, both ways, as per GoI norms.
- Course Material and Lab Access will be made available during the workshop.
- Stipend: No scholarship/stipend is given.
