CCG is looking for design & communications interns. The role is remote and can be done either on a full-time or part-time basis for a minimum period of two months. Students pursuing a bachelor’s/master’s degree or have obtained a degree may apply.
About the Organisation
The Centre for Communication Governance at National Law University Delhi (CCG) is a research centre within NLU Delhi and is meant to ensure that the Indian legal education establishment engages more meaningfully with communication law and policy, and offers an academic contribution to communication policymaking.

About the Role
The programme of work for communications interns and design interns at CCG is designed to build their competence around working in academic and policy research, to design visual content, make reports and presentations more accessible, and work with our communications and social media team to engage with our wider circle of stakeholders. The interns should have an interest in digital rights and issues in the information law and policy domain and be committed to translating CCG’s research into accessible visuals, content and material for public dissemination.
The main tasks would include assisting with –
- Strategising and creating internal and external communication material with the social media team, including content and images for various social media dissemination, including Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, and Facebook.
- Strategising and creating visual and written content for newsletters, email communications and other modes of engagement.
- Strategising and creating visual representations, infographics and other graphical representation to make research and analysis available in an accessible manner
- Creating and coordinating content for social media accounts on platforms like twitter instagram and facebook and working on campaigns using tools like hootsuite, oneup, etc.
- Creating visual promotional material for events.
- Editorial design and layout for reports, presentations, and other written outputs.
Responsibilities
We want our interns to be active participants in building a collaborative, merit-led institution and a lasting community of highly motivated people. All selected applicants will be expected to take substantial initiative, maintain the highest ethical standards in their work, and contribute to the institution’s growth and development. The selected applicants will work alongside our team and be exposed to law and policy-making in the technology domain. Through this internship we hope to be able to include a wider spectrum of people into the policy and research domain, while also helping interns learn our methods and processes along the way.
- We are inviting applications for remote full time or part time internships for a minimum period of two months. However, the internship will be subject to evaluation of work in the first two weeks of the internship.
- Work will be designed by the staff at CCG and assigned to interns on a daily or weekly basis depending on the nature of the project they are involved in.
- There will be regular discussions and feedback sessions with each intern to track the progress on their work and develop the research further.
Qualifications and Application Procedure
- The Centre welcomes applications from all Masters, 2nd and 3rd year students currently pursuing a degree in a related field such as design, media & communication, journalism, English and social sciences, etc.
- Applicants having an undergraduate or masters degree with an interest in exploring this space are also encouraged to apply.
