About the Opportunity:

PRADAN (Professional Assistance for Development Action) is a non-government, non-profit organisation that works with India’s rural poor.

PRADAN is working in collaboration with NABARD, and they are currently hiring  Chief executive Officer (CEO) of the Farmer Producer Organization.

Location:

  •  One Vacancy in Kamdara Block, Gumla District, Jharkhand 

Remuneration:

  • Rs 25000 per month (local conveyance included) 

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Engaging in Agri-Business activities to promote the products and enhance the profit of the FPO. 
  • Engagement in the promotion and Nurturing of Farmer Producer Organization at Block Level and its Village level institutions.
  • Engagement in FPO and its members to make strategies and planning for Indenting, crop Planning, Sale, and Purchase of Produce.
  • Regular field visits for providing handholding support to the community resource persons, and farmers around Agriculture and Market linkages of Produce and Input supplies.
  • Building strong rapport with District & Block Agriculture department, establishing linkages in local and Outstation Agribusiness Marketing for input and output supplies and demand.
  • Influencing and drawing support from relevant stakeholders.
  • Reviewing, monitoring, and tracking activities, preparation progress, and Planning 

Eligibility:

  • Graduate / Post Graduate in Social Work/ Agri Business with minimum of two years of experience in promoting agriculture-based rural livelihoods and Agri Business.
  • Should have scored a minimum of 55% of marks in at least two out of three examinations (Secondary, Higher Secondary, Graduation)
  • Two-wheeler is a must.
